Luck
Luck: Being in the right place at the right time in the right frame of mind (state).
Te and Luck
“When everything’s going right” is a phenomenon I have been fascinated with most of my life. I have noticed that people with high energy, with personal power, attracted such moments more often than those with low energy, with lack of presence. So I began to study charismatic, powerful people and the ways in which they functioned.
A sixth century B.c. Chinese philosopher, Lao Tzu, wrote of such personal power in the classic Tao Te Ching. He characterized Te (pronounced “der’) as the potential energy that comes from being in the right place at the right time in the right frame of mind. R. L. Wing tells us, in his translation of the Tao: “The early Chinese regarded the plant ing of seeds as Te, and Te came to mean stored energy or potentiality.” - Genie-Laborde
People are often stuck in de-energizing patterns. Positive Communication energizes, you can tell positive energy people by their bounce. At the end of a business day, the negative energy people are slumping over as they head for the elevator. Te is not part of their reality. The opportunity of a lifetime could get on the elevator with them and they would be watching the floor numbers.
