Triglycerides (Raw Fat)
Triglycerides: Fat stored in fat cells, used for energy storage/release. Carried by VLDL in the bloodstream, when other tissues need them.
Relationships
- carried-by:VLDL = Very Low-Density Lipoprotein)
- VLDL carries triglycerides through the blood from the liver to tissues.
- VLDL doesn't carry them while they're stored in fat cells - it transports them between locations.
