Thoughts are Central, However, thoughts matter most most due to their ability to grow into a habits. Habits are are actions that we automatically gravitate towards. Hence, we have to be diligent towards what actions we auto gravitate towards.

Remember: It's not the single check of social media (Reddit, LinkedIn, etc.) it's the trajectory for the day, to let you mind crave Cheap Dopamine, once you take that first hit.

Abstaining completely for the day until evening is doable. But re-abstaining over and over again during the day is much harder if you took the hit. So when it comes to social media during the day total abstaining is the way to go.
